Roof RatsJanuary and February is prime time for citrus tree growth and with that comes a more abundant roof rat problem. The most prevalent cause of roof rates is citrus fruit that has fallen from trees and not collected up immediately. Casa Serena recently paid the landscaper to remove the overgrowth and debris from the common area east of the pool so they will not have this area to fester and hide. We have also instructed the landscaper to keep the bottoms of the shrubs and bushes clear in our common areas and front yards. Casa Serena Board member Sue Borrelli has become our local expert in dealing with roof rats. If you have any question or suggestions, contact Sue.
